eIDAS 2.0
EU Digital Identity Wallet
EU 2024/1183
Regulation (EU) 2024/1183 fundamentally reforms eIDAS: every EU member state must offer a European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) by 2026. Companies that verify identities, sign digitally, or offer online services must accept the wallet and prepare for qualified trust services.
The EUDI Wallets will be rolled out across Europe from 2026. Large online platforms must accept the wallet. Those who prepare their identity and signing processes now will be ready at launch.
